  • I want to go back to restoring & trying to reprint old books. That was an actually fun hobby.

@Greatshield17 Same. However I was working on some paperbacks--I was taking and trying to get old ones back into print, ones that don't have good editions currently extant. I'll have to use paperbacks but still.
Putting electric washer in my apartment. Finally, clean clothes. With high cost of coin wash, it will pay in 2 months for itself!
Trying to escape web contact--temp. deactivated Facebook, etc. I want my focus back. Web & Autism feels like ADHD & I cannot focus.
Currently panicking about moving out the dam ghetto. The landlady isn't answering calls. Hope this works or I'm stuck in trash neighborhood

I understand where you're coming from. I've been trying to move into a nicer place for a couple years now, but I don't really have anyone to help me move.

@Yeshuasdaughter where do you live & where are you trying to go? I wonder if the Knights of Columbus or the Elks could help you with the actual moving.
Girlfriend turned me down today, all friendly/honest of course. Nice of her really. How to find a girlfriend? LOL

Mostly the little parts are all still in there, but if they're missing I have to either make them myself (ballpoint pen springs, shoelaces, bicycle inner tubes, etc.) or scavenge from completely "dead" typewriters of that same model.

That's some epic tinkering. I enjoy repairing things with parts. I accidentally broke a mouse, not knowing that it requires the light to actually function, i was trying to make it dark, then i fixed it back up, I fixed an electric shaver and usually things don't make a link well somewhere but I love making them work.

Rexi, I am really impressed you do your own electric/electronic repairing. That's pretty neat! It's a perfect Aspie hobby--take something, make it new again.
1:30 A.M., awake on a mixture of deadlines, ragtime, and old broadcasts of the BBC Home Service.

I like ragtime, too. I have two from Scott Joplin on my playlist [The Entertainer, Maple Leaf Rag]. Does "Gimme Dat Ding" (The Pipkins, 1970) count?

Have you ever heard “Hut 33”? Radio 4 sitcom set in Bletchley during WWII (written by John Finnemore: Mrs K and myself are both fans of his work)
